Which Product is Best for Me; MultiV or MultiV-PRO

We often get asked how these two products differ and why one would choose MultiV-PRO or MultiV. The following information will help explain the differences so consumers can decide which product best suits them.

Endurance athletes put a lot of stress on their body and accordingly they have significantly different needs and requirements than the general population. Because of this, higher levels of micro-nutrients are required in order to avoid overtraining and other ailments. In addition to having the highest quality, most bio-available vitamins and chelated minerals, both products offer clinically effective doses of enzymes, green tea and ginkgo biloba. Both MultiV and MultiV-PRO should be viewed as a comprehensive daily multivitamin for athletes who train strenuously.

MultiV-PRO takes the formula a step further providing four additional key benefits: a pre-biotic gut health blend, an immune support system, 50% more Iron and a clinically effective dose of Vitamin D.    These four key differences are critical to athletes who train like a professional athlete and/or those spending time at altitude.

  • With heavy training loads, athletes consume large amounts of calories, mainly in the form of carbohydrates. This can put a high demand on the digestive system often resulting in gastric distress. Research shows nearly 70% of athletes training strenuously experience gut discomfort. The combination of digestive enzymes along with a pre-biotic blend of saccharomyces cerevisiae and fructo oligosaccharides in MultiV-PRO assures that intestinal flora and general gut health can keep up with the consumption of calories.
  • MultiV-PRO supports the immune through the inclusion of a clinically effective dose of Beta Glucan. Historically athletes used high levels of antioxidants or vitamin C to ward off illness and to strengthen the immune. These methods have been shown to hinder mitochondrial biogenysis. In other words, these antioxidants limit the very endurance gains you are seeking. With the inclusion of 1,3/1,6 Beta Glucan, you can make endurance gains and simultaneously strengthen your immune system, allowing you to remain healthy and continue training every day.
  • Athletes that train strenuously typically develop low ferritin levels.   This is especially true at altitude. MultiV-PRO delivers a market leading 27mg of Iron Amino Acid Chelate to assure healthy levels of oxygen carrying ferritin.
  • MultiV-PRO contains a clinically effective dose of 2,500IU Vitamin D. Vitamin D plays a role in bone strength, immune function, inflammation and muscle strength.

Which product is right for me?

Use MultiV if you are an endurance athlete training strenuously. If your training escalates to a level that compares to a professional athlete, then consider upgrading to the MultiV-PRO.   Also consider the MultiV-PRO if you live at altitude, or will train at altitude or if you have a history of low iron or low vitamin D.

*Athletes can effectively go back and forth between both products. It’s perfectly acceptable to use MultiV for a couple months during the off season or light training and switch to the MultiV-PRO for heavy training months.
