I was born and raised in Escondido, California and grew up riding dirt bikes, camping, hiking, playing soccer, wakeboarding, or anything else that allowed me to be outside. I joined my high school’s NICA team, North County Composite, when I was in 8th grade and my love for cycling just continued to grow each year! I applied for the Bear National Team in 2022 and was able to race with them for five amazing years. This past year has been the best year of my career, highlighted by truly finding my rhythm in the U23 World Cup circuit.
"When I go into a race having gratitude and putting my trust in the plan and training, I feel the most at peace and ready to race."

What are your goals for the upcoming season?
My goals are to win a U23 World Cup, be in the World Cup top 3 overall, and defend my XCO National Championship.
What’s your favorite race and why?
I honestly love racing Vail Lake (C1) in Temecula, California. It is a home race to me, as well as where my racing began with NICA. I love racing in front of my whole family and all my friends to show off what all my training has been building toward.
How did your upbringing shape who you are today?
My parents loved pushing me growing up, but also made sure that I knew that I was more than my sport and had to have an identity outside of it. They also taught me to love what I am doing and enjoy the process. I also think that growing up in a family that goes to church and has faith taught me to be confident in myself and have the discipline to focus on my sport when it is time.
How has your training and nutrition evolved over your career?
As I have begun to train longer and more, my nutrition has become even more crucial to making sure I can compete with the best in the world. These days, I am focused on eating more because it allows me to feel better during the last hour of my ride and improves recovery.
What has being an endurance athlete taught you about life outside of sport?
Life isn’t linear, just like being an endurance athlete! There will be ups and downs and you have to be able to take a step back, breathe, and remember why you are doing it in the first place.
What piece of new technology or equipment could you no longer imagine living without?
I love the Garmin Varia taillight that alerts me when cars are approaching. It gives me a little bit of comfort and peace of mind when training on open roads.
Who are your heroes or role models in sport (or outside of it)?
My mom is my biggest hero! I also love Sydney Mclaughlin Levorne, a track and field athlete.
What is one habit or routine you believe has contributed most to your success?
Spending time by myself and being mindful before the race. When I go into a race having gratitude and putting my trust in the plan and training, I feel the most at peace and ready to race.
What’s your “kryptonite”?
Cooldowns; I really find cooldowns to be slightly annoying, but I always try to do them to be a good athlete.
Do you listen to music or podcasts when you train? If so, what is your go-to playlist or podcast? Does it change on intervals vs. easy endurance?
I love listening to everything from Rihanna, to Taylor Swift, Chris Stapleton, Tate McRae, charlixcx, Lorde, Eric Church, and more. I also occasionally listen to books or podcasts, depending on my mood.
